DescriptionWINNIE TOO was built by AG Williams at their Drummoyne boatyard and is understood to have been completed during 1942. If correct this indicates it was a rare craft compeletd during the war, and perhaps it was commissioned and begun in 1939, then gradually completed alongside military work that would have taken priority during the wartime period. It is carvel planked and 7.92m long. It features a typical Williams’ hull shape for the late 1930s period with plumb stem, moderate flare forward, a raised deck and slightly curved cabin top or wheelhouse.

It was built as an amateur fishing boat and the layout includes a large open cockpit aft. WINNIE TOO has always been used for recreational purposes. Two previous owners were Mr Toohey and Dr Arthur Lennox.

AG Williams were well known for their many motor launches and shared the market competing with the Holmes and the Halvorsen boatyards for clients in a growing market during the 1930s and again after World War II.

The current owner has done extensive restoration and rebuilding work, including repositioning the wheelhouse slightly to improve the cockpit and accommodation layout. It is now powered by a Volvo Penta diesel engine.
