DescriptionYUM SING was built by Holmes at their McMahon's Point boatshed, on Lavender Bay in Sydney in 1928. The original design for the Prince Class by AC Barber was stretched out by Holmes to 32 feet overall. Only a small number of these yachts were built, the first two by Halvorsen's at Careening Cove, but after they had a dispute with Barber the craft were built elsewhere. One was built by Holmes, another by Robinson at Balmain.

The class was initially promoted as a one design and they were a fairly typical cruiser/racer for the period, showing a modest overhang at the bow, a raked transom and raised deck. YUM SING has had a doghouse added for more headroom. It now has a Bermudan rig but was probably launched with a gaff rig. The hull is planked in kauri fastened to spotted gum frames.

In 2007 YUM SING is close to 80 years old, still in good condition and used as a cruising yacht.

In 2015 during an east coast low YUM SING broke free from her moorings and came ashore at Forty Baskets in North Harbour Sydney NSW. As a result YUM SING was so severely damaged and could not be restored.
