DescriptionWHITE CREST was built at the Halvorsen's Ryde yard for RN Forster. It was given the Job Number 1008 and launched in 1951. It is planked in oregon and powered by a diesel engine.

The simple but elegant styling typical of many Halvorsen craft is shown off in an all white finish on WHITE CREST, which is in contrast to the usual varnished super structure of other Halvorsen designs. It also features a long cabin top overhang forward of the saloon and helm cabin glass front.

WHITE CREST has always been used as a private recreational motor cruiser.
SignificanceWHITE CREST is a motor launch built in Sydney in 1951. It is an example of a medium-sized motor cruiser built by Lars Halvorsen Sons Ltd, one of their popular types that were built to a variety of lengths. WHITE CREST is a standard 36 foot type, and these were built for private buyers and the hire fleet at Bobbin Head.
